FORLIFE is a special colostrum whey for calves and young animals in general. FORLIFE is a complete food supplying an optimum level of essential nutritional substances for the health of calves in the first few hours after birth. FORLIFE provides ESSENTIAL proteins and high IgG level: the protein content is around 70% to 80%, of which 60% to 70% are IgG, which are crucial for the development of the immune system.

 

FORLIFE is collected and processed within 12 hours of the first milking after calving and it is treated in accordance with the ISO 9000 standard and HACCP. It is fully absorbable and the innovative capsule form simplifies its use, avoiding waste and loss. Moreover, the sealed packaging ensures an excellent state of preservation, protecting the product from damp, insects and dust.

 

Origin of FORLIFE

  • The farms that supply the colostrum are included in specific programmes for the production of high-quality milk.
  • The animals do not undergo any antibiotic treatment in dry periods, as ensured by the Charm MLR test.
  • Veterinary certification to prove the absence of IBR and TB.

 

Production process and characteristics of FORLIFE

  • The practical and convenient capsule form of the product makes it unique on the market and allows perfect hygiene during storage.
  • Production process entirely carried out in line with ISO 9001 and HACCP procedures.
  • Average distance from the farms to the processing plant: 50 km.
  • Collection and processing of the colostrum within 12 hours.
  • IGg quality control with refractometer measurements.
  • Skimming process to aid digestion.
  • Lactose (milk sugar) reduction process to aid digestion.
  • Elimination of germs and bacteria through microfiltration
  • FORLIFE colostrum is NOT pasteurized, allowing the high protein content to be preserved.
  • During the drying process, the utmost care is taken to avoid altering the properties of the protein content by carrying out procedures at low temperatures.
  • A specific enzyme (Transfer-enzyme) is included in the formula. It chemically bonds the proteins and is able to transfer them through the intestinal mucous membrane to the blood stream. This way absorption and supply occurs 8 hours after birth to provide an adequate immune system.
  • Low fat and lactose content, aiding digestion.

 

Causes of poor absorption of colostrum

  • Late administration (e.g. With calves born during the night).
  • Insufficient maternal colostrum.
  • Maternal colostrum of poor quality.
  • Colostrum being defrosted too quickly (at a temperature of 47°C, the characteristics of the proteins are altered).
  • Poor management of the farm (incorrect storage, defrosting, etc.).
Usage
  • Sole source of colostrum: 1 capsule at birth and another within 6 after birth
  • Together with maternal colostrum, farm colostrum supply or powdered colostrum: one capsule at the time of colostrum administration
