Fibro Ad

Fibro Ad is based on botanic purified and soluble monomeric, dimeric and oligomeric phenols with low molecular weight: 5,000 – 10,000 Dalton, enriched with Phyto-molecules. Fibers are obtained through hydrolysis from the cell wall of annual plants, without solvents. Fibro Ad is used as feed preservative: it prevents moss and fungi formation, binds mycotoxins in an irreversible way, avoiding the presence of toxins in food of animal origin, for instance, Aflatoxin M1 in milk). Fibro Ad permanently sequesters toxins produced by bacteria or ingested with the food, without interfering with the digestibility and absorption of nutrients. The anti-oxidant power of Fibro Ad is equal to 7,000 Orac/g.

Fibro Ad exerts different actions:

• detoxifying effect in several biological districts, liver included
• antioxidant action: 7,000 ORAC units/g
• digestion enhancer

Effects in the animals

• In dairy cows Fibro Ad improves fertility, milk production, helps reduce somatic cells, strongly contributes to liver detoxification; furthermore, the toxin binding power of the product significantly improves the safety of the milk
• In beef cattle the detoxifying action helps reduce inflammation of the feet and fatty liver syndrome, while the antioxidant properties improve the quality of the deposit and intramuscular fat = white fat, resistant to oxidation
• In poultry, swine and aquatic species Fibro Ad strongly improves hepatic and intestinal health through the detoxifying action against exogenous toxins, ingested with feed, and endogenous toxins produced by bacteria such as coli
• In dogs and cats Fibro Ad regulates the fecal consistency and strongly reduces bad smell

Anti-toxins activity

The low molecular weight of the monomeric, dimeric and oligomeric phenols contained in Fibro Ad offers several advantages towards polymeric phenols (e.g. tannins) that have a significantly higher molecular weight:  30,000 Dalton:

• High solubility
• Little size = huge contact surface: 1 kg of Fibro Ad corresponds to several hectares of surface
• High digestibility

Fibro Ad creates a capillary “net” throughout the intestinal tract capturing endotoxins, e.g. toxins produced by E. coli, and exotoxins, ingested with food. The active ingredients of Fibro Ad are partly absorbed, enter the bloodstream and liver, exerting a detoxifying action and improving liver function.

Anti-oxidant effects

One of the most important effects of Fibro Ad is the anti-oxidant activity:

• Fibro Ad delivers 7,000 ORAC units/g
• Fibro Ad contrasts the oxidative stress in all species

Digestibility

Thanks to the low molecular weight and its solubility, there are no barriers to digestion:

• This characteristic makes Fibro Ad completely different from lignin. Lignin can in fact interfere with the digestion of cell-wall polysaccharides by acting as a physical barrier to microbial enzymes.
• On the contrary, Fibro Ad enhances the digestion because it contains Phyto-Molecules that promote the synthesis of digestive enzymes
